Cookie Policy
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small alphanumeric file placed on the User's Terminal (computer, smartphone, tablet, mobile device, etc.) when browsing the Website.
2. Is your consent required?
Before placing or reading a cookie that is not necessary for providing a service, website publishers must:
inform the User of the purpose of the cookies;
obtain the User's consent;
provide a way for the User to refuse them.
The validity period of this consent is thirteen (13) months.
However, certain cookies are exempt from obtaining consent, particularly those strictly necessary for providing a service expressly requested by the User.
3. Why does SPARWAN use cookies?
The Website is designed to be attentive to Users' needs. This is why SPARWAN uses cookies to optimize Users' visits to the Website.
The Website also uses cookies, including third-party cookies, to present advertisements tailored to the Users.
4. Which cookies are used on the website?
SPARWAN collects information, which may include personal data, from your browser when you use our Websites. We use various methods, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect this information, which may include your (i) IP address; (ii) unique cookie identifier, cookie information, and information on your device's content to access certain features; (iii) unique device identification number and device type; (iv) domain, browser type, and language; (v) operating system and settings; (vi) country and time zone; (vii) previously visited websites; (viii) information about your actions on our Websites, such as click behavior, purchases, and preferences; and (ix) access times and referring URLs.
Third parties may also collect information from the Websites through cookies, third-party plug-ins, and widgets. These third parties collect data directly from your browser, and the processing of this data is subject to their own privacy policies.
We use cookies and web beacons to track our customers' usage of the Websites and understand their preferences (such as country and language). This allows us to provide services to our customers and improve their online experience. We also use cookies and web beacons to obtain aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction, to identify trends, and obtain statistics so that we can improve our Websites. There are generally three categories of cookies used on our Websites:
Functional cookies: These cookies are required for basic site functionality and are therefore always active. This includes cookies that allow you to be remembered as you explore our Websites within a single session or, if you request, from session to session. They help build your shopping cart and the payment process, as well as assist in security issues and regulatory compliance.
Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to improve our Websites' functionality by tracking usage. In some cases, these cookies improve the speed with which we can process your request and allow us to remember site preferences you have selected. De-selecting these cookies may result in poorly-tailored recommendations and slow site performance.
Social Media and Advertising cookies: Social media cookies offer the possibility to connect you to your social networks and share content from our Websites through social media. Advertising cookies (from third parties) collect information to help better tailor advertising to your interests, both within and beyond our Websites. In some cases, these cookies involve the processing of personal data. De-selecting these cookies may result in seeing advertising that is not relevant to you or preventing effective connection with Facebook, Twitter, or other social networks and/or preventing you from sharing content on social networks.
For a clear and up-to-date summary of every third party accessing your web browser, we recommend installing a specific plugin designed for this purpose. You can also choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You can do this through your web browser settings on each of your devices. Every browser is a little different, so look at your browser's "Help" menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, access to much of the content on our Websites may be less efficient and some of our services may not function properly.
Cookies may also be installed on the User's Terminal when visiting our partner sites.
5. Is it possible to identify me from cookies?
The placement of cookies carried out as part of using the Website does not identify the User personally, but it records information regarding the navigation of their Terminal on the Website, which SPARWAN can read during the User's subsequent visits to the Website.
The information collected is for the exclusive use of SPARWAN and its partners, particularly service providers, and is under no circumstances transferred to third parties.
Cookies issued by third parties, over which SPARWAN has no control, may be placed in your browser. These cookies may identify the User personally. SPARWAN invites you to consult the privacy policies specific to each of these third parties.
6. How long are cookies stored?
Cookies are stored for a duration of thirteen (13) months after their initial placement on the User's Terminal.
Upon expiration of the retention period, personal data collected through cookies will be deleted.
7. How to object to the placement of cookies?
Several options are available to the User to manage cookies:
Consent to cookies
Except for strictly necessary technical cookies, saving a cookie on a Terminal depends on the User's will, which they can express and modify at any time and free of charge through the choices offered to them.
If the User has accepted the storage of cookies on their Terminal, the embedded cookies may be stored temporarily in a dedicated space on their Terminal. They will be readable only by their issuer.
In this regard, and for cookies whose sole purpose is not to enable or facilitate navigation or which are not strictly necessary for the provision of the Services offered via the Website, at the express request of the User, an information banner is displayed when the User connects to the Website, in order to inform them prior to the placement of these cookies, (1) of their presence and (2) to allow them, if applicable, to object to their placement on their Terminal.
Cookie settings via the web browser
The User can configure their web browser so that cookies are saved on their Terminal or, conversely, rejected, either systematically or depending on their issuer.
The User can also configure their web browser so that the acceptance or refusal of cookies is offered to them punctually, before a cookie is likely to be saved on their Terminal.
For the management of cookies and choices, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the help menu of the User's browser, which will let them know how to change their preferences regarding cookies:
For Microsoft Internet Explorer (Windows Internet Explorer, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Block-or-allow-cookies
For Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95647
For Safari: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21411?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US
For Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
For Opera: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/web-preferences/#cookies
8. What are the consequences of changing cookie settings?
The User is informed that any settings they may configure are likely to modify their internet browsing and conditions of access to certain Services offered on the Website that require the use of cookies, and that a number of features necessary for navigating the Website may be degraded (e.g., difficulties in saving or displaying content).
In the event that the User modifies cookie settings, SPARWAN shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any malfunctions observed.
The lack of consent can only prevent access to the Website to the extent that the data processing concerned is absolutely essential for its operation.
9. Personal Data Protection
SPARWAN may process personal data concerning you, as the data controller.
