Description
Cellular is optional on Milesight LoRaWAN Gateway. For models that support cellular, we can install a SIM card in the gateway and connect the gateway to the Internet via cellular.
This article will guide you how to install SIM card in Milesight Gateway.
Requirement
Milesight LoRaWAN UG6x Gateway
Installation
- For UG65 gateway
- Use a screwdriver to open the protective cover on the rear panel of the UG65.

Insert the SIM card into the device by following the direction icon on the device.
- For UG67 gateway
- Insert the SIM card into the device by following the direction icon on the device.

Tighten the SIM card dust cover with a wrench to prevent water from entering the device.
Note:
- UG6x supports mini SIM-2FF SIM card size.
- If you need to remove the SIM card, tap it and it will appear automatically.
- UG6x does not support hot plugging (also known as hot swapping). Please turn off the power before inserting or removing cards.
