USR-DR164 Serial to Dual Band Wi-Fi Converter

The USR-DR164 is an ultra-compact dual-band Wi-Fi serial server with a serial port. It provides seamless transmission between RS485/RS232 and a Wi-Fi device. Designed for industrial applications requiring reliable, high-performance wireless connectivity. Compact and robust, it allows serial data to be transmitted over a Wi-Fi network, while offering great flexibility in configuration and deployment.

Thanks to its compatibility with TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, IGMP protocols and Modbus RTU ↔ TCP conversion , it can be easily integrated into automation, supervision, or remote control architectures. The support of AP, STA and AP+STA modes allows it to be used as an access point, Wi-Fi client or in mixed mode, depending on the network needs.

Its small V0 plastic case (92 × 24 × 22 mm) is easy to install on DIN rail, while resisting demanding environments thanks to an extended temperature range of –40 to +85 °C . It has a flexible power supply of 5 to 36 V DC with surge protections, and a hardware and software watchdog system to ensure high availability.

Built-in LED indicators facilitate diagnostics by displaying serial port, Wi-Fi, and power status. The USR-DR164 is ideal for connecting PLCs, sensors, data acquisition systems, or other industrial equipment to a secure wireless network infrastructure.
