RS485 to Ethernet Converter
The Waveshare 16529 is a compact serial to Ethernet converter designed to connect RS485 equipment to an IP network. It allows a serial device to be accessed from a local network, a server, or a remote application.
RS485 to Ethernet Conversion
The converter ensures transparent bidirectional transmission between the RS485 port and the RJ45 Ethernet port. It is suitable for sensors, meters, PLCs, measuring instruments, and industrial equipment using an RS485 link.
Protocols and Configuration
The 16529 supports TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, and HTTPD modes. It can be configured via web page, AT commands, or software tool, which facilitates on-site commissioning.
Technical Integration
The Ethernet port operates at 10/100 Mbps. Power is supplied at 5-7 VDC and the operating range extends from -25 °C to +75 °C.
