16530 - RS232/RS485 to Ethernet - Waveshare
RS232 / RS485 to Ethernet Converter
The Waveshare 16530 is an industrial RS232 / RS485 to Ethernet converter. It allows you to connect serial devices to an IP network while maintaining transparent bidirectional communication.
Two Serial to Ethernet Interfaces
The converter has an RS232 interface, an RS485 interface, and a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port. The serial interfaces can be used to integrate industrial equipment, PLCs, meters, or measuring instruments.
Industrial Protocols
The 16530 supports TCP, UDP, HTTPD, Modbus, WebSocket, and VCOM communication. This makes it suitable for supervision, control, and data acquisition applications.
Configuration and Robustness
Configuration can be performed via web page, AT commands, serial protocol, or software tool. The wide range 5-36 VDC power supply and operation from -40 °C to +85 °C facilitate its use in industrial environments.
Applications
This converter is suitable for Modbus systems, RS232 / RS485 equipment, remote maintenance, PLC supervision, data acquisition, and serial over IP communication.
