Waveshare USB-HUB-4U Industrial USB Hub, Part Number 20861
The Waveshare USB-HUB-4U expands one USB port into four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Part number 20861 officially corresponds to the variant with European power supply; part numbers 20734 and 23061 refer to the US and unpowered variants respectively.
Four Industrial USB Ports
The hub supports USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, with an advertised maximum throughput of 480 Mbps. The input uses a USB-B connector and the four outputs are USB-A ports. Indicator lights show power and the status of each port.
Electrical Protections
Each port benefits from ESD protection. Waveshare also documents protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, overheating, reverse current, and undervoltage lockout.
Power Supply and Enclosure
The hub operates on 5 VDC and can be powered by its DC jack. The 20861 variant comes with a 5V/2A power adapter with a European plug. The metal enclosure features mounting tabs for installation on a surface or in a cabinet.
Compatibility
The product is plug-and-play with Windows, Linux, and macOS. The documented operating range is -40 to +85 °C, non-condensing. The hub is not waterproof.
