Industrial RS485 to Wi-Fi/Ethernet Converter
The Waveshare 21968 is an RS485 to Wi-Fi/Ethernet converter designed for data acquisition and industrial IoT gateways. It combines the functions of a serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, and HTTPD client.
RS485 to Wi-Fi/Ethernet Conversion
The module connects an RS485 device to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. It can perform serial to Wi-Fi, serial to Ethernet, or Ethernet to Wi-Fi functions depending on the communication architecture.
Interfaces / Protocols / Integration
The converter features an RS485 interface, a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port, and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. It supports TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, MQTT, and Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion.
Industrial Design
The V0 flame-retardant enclosure is designed for DIN rail mounting. Power supply is 5-36 VDC and the operating range is -40 °C to +85 °C.
