RS485 to PoE Ethernet Serial Server

The Waveshare 23273 is an industrial RS485 to Ethernet serial server with PoE support. It allows an RS485 device to be connected to an IP network while simplifying power supply via Ethernet when the installation permits.

RS485 to PoE Ethernet

The converter has one RS485 port and one 10/100 Mbps PoE-compatible RJ45 Ethernet port. It can also be powered by a DC terminal block depending on the chosen architecture.

Modbus, MQTT, and JSON Gateway

The 23273 combines the functions of a serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, RS485 to JSON conversion, and VCOM communication. It is suitable for uploading industrial data to an IoT platform or a supervision system.

Industrial Design

With its DC or PoE power supply, DIN rail mounting, and operation from -40 °C to +85 °C, it is suitable for demanding technical cabinets and industrial installations.

Applications

The 23273 is suitable for Modbus RS485 devices, sensors, meters, energy monitoring, data acquisition, and industrial IoT gateways.
