24962 - 2x RS485 to Ethernet - Waveshare
2x RS485 to Ethernet Serial Server
The Waveshare 24962 is an industrial Ethernet serial server with two RS485 channels. It allows two RS485 devices or buses to be connected to an IP network with two RJ45 Ethernet ports and a network cascading function.
Two RS485 to Ethernet Ports
The 24962 features 2 RS485 ports and 2 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports. Each RS485 channel can be used for independent serial communications, simplifying the integration of multiple field devices.
Modbus, MQTT, and JSON
The serial server supports Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, JSON communication, and VCOM functions. It is suitable for data acquisition, supervision, and industrial IoT architectures.
Ethernet Cascading
The two Ethernet ports allow the equipment to be connected to the network and for other modules to be daisy-chained according to the installation architecture. This function is useful for industrial cabinets grouping multiple communication devices.
Industrial Design
With its 6-45 VDC power supply, DIN rail mounting, and operation from -40 °C to +85 °C, the 24962 is suitable for demanding environments.
