The Waveshare 25222 is an industrial RS232/RS485 to Wi-Fi/Ethernet converter with a metal casing. It allows connecting serial devices to a wired or wireless IP network, with serial server, Modbus gateway, and MQTT gateway functions.
RS232/RS485 to Wi-Fi/Ethernet Conversion
The module features RS232 and RS485 interfaces, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, and an RJ45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. It allows serial to Wi-Fi, serial to Ethernet, or Ethernet to Wi-Fi communication depending on the deployment scenario.
Interfaces / Protocols / Integration
The 25222 supports TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, MQTT, and Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion. It is suitable for industrial serial equipment that needs to be integrated into an IP architecture.
Industrial Design
The metal casing is suitable for technical environments and supports DIN rail or wall mounting. Power is supplied at 6-36 VDC and the operating range is -40 °C to +85 °C. This version is treated as the non-PoE Ethernet/Wi-Fi version.
