The Milesight WS203 is an indoor LoRaWAN sensor combining PIR presence detection, temperature measurement, and humidity measurement. It allows for tracking space occupancy while also providing ambient conditions useful for building monitoring.

Detection and Measurements

The sensor detects movement or occupancy using its PIR technology. Temperature and humidity measurements add environmental context to usage data, for example, in offices, shared rooms, or commercial buildings.

LoRaWAN Transmission

The WS203 communicates via LoRaWAN in Class A on the 868 MHz band. Data can be transmitted to a LoRaWAN gateway and a compatible IoT platform for monitoring, alerts, or occupancy analysis. It also supports Milesight D2D for certain local scenarios.

Installation and Battery Life

The sensor operates with a 4000 mAh Li-SOCl2 battery. It can be wall-mounted, placed on a flat surface, or attached with adhesive. NFC configuration via a mobile app simplifies commissioning.
