WS202 - LoRaWAN PIR Presence and Light Sensor - Milesight

The Milesight WS202 is a LoRaWAN presence sensor based on PIR detection. It can detect movement or occupancy in an indoor space, while also providing light/dark brightness information to enrich connected building scenarios.

Presence Detection

The sensor uses a Fresnel lens and a passive infrared sensor to identify movement within its detection area. It can be used to track room occupancy, trigger an action, or feed into usage monitoring in a professional building.

LoRaWAN Transmission

The WS202 transmits its data via LoRaWAN in Class A on the 868 MHz band. It can be associated with a LoRaWAN gateway and a compatible IoT platform to centralize statuses, generate alerts, or manage scenarios. Milesight D2D compatibility also allows for direct interactions with other compatible equipment.

Installation and Battery Life

The sensor operates with a 1650 mAh Li-SOCl2 battery. It can be installed on a wall, a flat surface, or with adhesive. NFC configuration via a mobile application facilitates deployment and on-site adjustments.
