FLASH’O - Optical LoRaWAN Sensor for Meter - Watteco
FLASH’O - LoRaWAN Optical Meter Sensor - Watteco
The Watteco FLASH’O is a LoRaWAN optical sensor for remote reading of electronic meters. It detects light pulses emitted by a meter to transmit indices or pulses to an IoT infrastructure.
Optical Remote Reading
The sensor uses a remote infrared optical probe to read light pulses. It is not a measurement center; its role is to transform an existing meter into a communicating remote reading point.
LoRaWAN Transmission
The FLASH’O communicates via LoRaWAN in Class A on the 868 MHz band. Data can be sent to a LoRaWAN gateway and a compatible IoT platform for consumption monitoring, supervision, or energy analysis.
Installation and Battery Life
The sensor is positioned on the meter with its remote optical probe. It is suitable for electronic electricity, energy, or water meters, depending on the available light output. Its IP55 rating and stated battery life, depending on usage, enable durable field deployments.
Applications
FLASH’O is suitable for remote reading of existing meters, energy monitoring, fleet management, commercial buildings, and installations where meter replacement is not desired.
