The Milesight EM500-SMTC is an agricultural LoRaWAN sensor designed to measure soil moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity. It allows for remote monitoring of soil conditions without network cabling in smart agriculture, irrigation, or greenhouse monitoring applications.
Measurement and Monitoring
The probe measures key soil parameters: moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity. This data helps to better understand growing conditions, track moisture changes, and adapt field decisions according to actual needs.
LoRaWAN TransmissionMeasurements are transmitted via LoRaWAN Class A on the 868 MHz band. The sensor can be paired with a LoRaWAN gateway and a compatible IoT platform to centralize data, view historical records, and set up alerts.
Installation and Battery LifeThe transmitter has an IP67 enclosure, and the soil probe is IP68. The sensor operates on a replaceable 19000 mAh Li-SOCl2 battery. Configuration can be done via NFC, USB Type-C, PC software, or downlink.
