WSC1-L - LoRaWAN RS485 Weather Station Transmitter - Dragino

The Dragino WSC1-L is a LoRaWAN weather transmitter designed to read RS485 weather station sensors and transmit data to an IoT server. It serves as the main unit for external weather sensors, such as compatible wind sensors, rain gauges, or radiation sensors.

Measurement and Collection

The WSC1-L does not measure weather parameters by itself; it reads the values from connected RS485 sensors. This architecture allows for the construction of a modular weather station, adapted to site requirements and installed sensors.

LoRaWAN Transmission

The WSC1-L communicates via LoRaWAN in Class C on the 868 MHz band. It can operate with a standard LoRaWAN gateway and transmit collected data to a compatible IoT platform.

Installation and Autonomy

The unit is powered by an external 12 V solar power supply and features an integrated Li-ion backup battery. This design is suitable for field weather stations requiring continuous operation and regular communication.

Applications

The WSC1-L is suitable for agricultural weather stations, environmental monitoring projects, outdoor sites, greenhouses, farms, and installations requiring RS485 to LoRaWAN conversion.
