WSS-07 - RS485 PAR Radiation Sensor - Dragino
WSS-07 - RS485 PAR Radiation Sensor - Dragino
The Dragino WSS-07 is an RS485 weather sensor designed to measure photosynthetically active radiation, also known as PAR. It is designed to be integrated into a compatible Dragino weather station or a measurement system with an RS485 interface.
Measurement and Monitoring
The sensor measures radiation useful for photosynthesis in the spectral range of 400 to 700 nm. This data is particularly useful for monitoring available light in greenhouses, agriculture, or environmental monitoring projects.
RS485 Interface
The WSS-07 is an RS485 sensor. It should not be presented as a standalone LoRaWAN sensor: long-range transmission depends on the transmitter or weather station to which it is connected, such as a compatible Dragino unit.
Installation and Integration
The sensor is integrated into a weather station solution to complement environmental measurements. Its RS485 output allows it to be connected to a main unit responsible for reading data and transmitting it to an IoT platform.
Applications
The WSS-07 is suitable for greenhouses, sheltered crops, farms, agronomic trials, and sites requiring monitoring of available radiation for plant growth.
