The Milesight GS101 is a LoRaWAN gas detector designed to detect natural gas leaks, specifically methane (CH4). It combines a semiconductor sensor, local alarms with LED indicators and a buzzer, as well as remote alerts via LoRaWAN technology. Powered by 12 V, it integrates into existing IoT architectures to enhance monitoring in areas exposed to gas-related risks.

Building Environment Use Cases

This detector is suitable for residential environments and buildings requiring continuous gas leak monitoring. When the concentration reaches the predefined threshold, the GS101 triggers an audible and visual alarm. It also supports outputs to control external equipment, such as a gas valve or fans, to help reduce on-site risks.

Remote Operation and Supervision

Thanks to its LoRaWAN connectivity, the GS101 can transmit the device's normal status and alarm messages to a compatible gateway and a supervision platform such as Milesight IoT Cloud. Configuration via a mobile application using NFC simplifies on-site commissioning. Local storage of historical data also allows for the retention of important events, facilitating operational monitoring, maintenance, and incident analysis.
