Surge protection device
This is a surge protection device intended to secure transceivers against lightning-induced surges and overcurrents.
Protecting Lorawan Gateways
In order to protect the indoor equipment and circuits connected to the LoRa gateway, you must install a surge protection device (SPD) of the Ethernet port.
And all N type antenna terminals
RAKwireless recommends installing a surge protector on all Type N antenna terminals, including LoRa, LTE and 2.4G Wi-Fi antennas. Please refer to the technical manual for wire type and gauge recommendations.
