RAK5802M RS485 Interface for WisGate Connect
The RAK5802M is the RS485 interface variant of the RAK5802 offered for WisGate Connect systems. It allows adding an RS485/Modbus link to a configuration based on the RAK7391 carrier board.
RS485 Communication
The module converts RS485 signals to UART to communicate with the host platform. It supports equipment using RS485 and Modbus in industrial, supervisory, and automation applications.
Protection and Integration
The design derived from the RAK5802 integrates ESD protection up to 18 kV according to IEC 61000-4-2. The module can be disabled by the host system to limit its standby consumption.
Compact Size
The circuit measures approximately 35 × 25 mm and uses the connector provided for WisGate Connect I/O boards. It is an expansion module and not a standalone device.
Compatibility
This product sheet corresponds to the RAK5802M reference from the official "IO Boards for the WisGate Connect" selector. Compatibility must be verified with the RAK7391 configuration used.
