The Teltonika RUT241 is a compact industrial cellular router designed to ensure reliable connectivity in IoT and M2M projects. It combines 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity, 1 physical 2FF SIM slot, 2 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 4, and automatic WAN failover functions. This router easily integrates into industrial infrastructures, technical cabinets, and remote sites.

Cellular Connectivity and Service Continuity

The RUT241 supports 4G LTE Cat 4 with speeds up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. It also supports 3G and 2G to maintain connectivity depending on available coverage.

Its physical 2FF SIM slot allows for the deployment of professional mobile connectivity with the chosen operator. The router also offers automatic failover, network backup, and load balancing functions to enhance network availability.

Wired Network, Wi-Fi, and Field Integration

This router features 1 WAN port and 1 LAN port at 10/100 Mbps, with auto MDI/MDIX support. It also integrates 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi in Access Point and Station modes, with up to 50 simultaneous connections.

The RUT241 also has 1 digital input and 1 digital output, useful for simple interactions with external equipment or automation systems.

Network Security and VPN

The RUT241 includes security features adapted for industrial use: firewall, attack prevention, VLAN, web filtering, access control, and certificate management. For secure interconnection, it supports numerous VPN protocols such as OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, DMVPN, SSTP, ZeroTier, and Tinc.

Monitoring, Automation, and Industrial Uses

Based on RutOS, a Linux system built on OpenWrt, the RUT241 supports management and monitoring tools such as RMS, SNMP, TR-069, MQTT, JSON-RPC, and FOTA. It is also compatible with industrial services and protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM.

With its 9-30 VDC power supply, Passive PoE via LAN1, and operating range of -40 °C to +75 °C, this router is suitable for technical cabinets, remote sites, automation, and industrial connectivity applications.
